Above is my original comic store sign in Monona, Wisconsin taken the day closed 4/29/1997.  From 1988 to 1997 I spread my love for comics to the Madison/Monona, Wisconsin area as Copper-Age Comix (before the period was called the Copper Age of comics) What pioneers do, identify and start trends.  It was my evening job and my dream to making wealth while doing what I loved.

One of the largest comic distributors (Capital City Comics) was about 1 mile away from the shop. In 1995 three things occurred, Diamond comics ruined the distribution network eliminating competitor Capital City Comics within 1 year and increasing my expenses, Comics market collapsing due to greed and gimmicks, and I had a newborn son. By 1997 I decided I needed to make money to support my newborn. Closed the store but said someday I may return to my passion. Sold off all the stock for $1400 to a comic store owner I was friends with and moved on.  

Guess who is back? A new name, a new plan!
